Flames and Fury

One of our songs is called 'Flames & Fury' and is a drunken duet about possessive, obsessive, destructive love. Frithiof Engzell (Ruben's brother), listened to us record this song in the Molnbo house and it inspired the fabulous drawing above.
So Emily and Dom are back in the UK and Ruben is in Sweden. He's just finished doing some vocal harmonies to a few tracks. Next on the agenda is to get The Red Clay Halo to put a few string/accordion lines on a song called 'Magpies Carol.'

So we're on our second last day of recording the debut Vena Portae album. It's been a wonderful time hiding away from the world in the snow-covered surrounds of Mölnbo making music and experimenting with different instruments and ideas. We're really, really pleased with how it's all sounding and looking forward to sharing it with you in the future. We'll keep you posted on plans for release , gigs etc. Thanks, Emily
